Témiscaming, l’histoire d’une ville is a historical tourism podcast inspired by key moments and personal anecdotes shared by the people of Témiscaming. The author and narrator, Frédérik Fournier, met with local residents to uncover the fragments of stories that have shaped this community into what it is today.
This podcast, divided into 10 episodes, can be listened to while on a pilgrimage through the various locations in Témiscaming mentioned in the series, or elsewhere, without being directly present, such as from the comfort of home.
The narrative takes us from place to place throughout Témiscaming to uncover a legendary bank robbery, a town built in the style of a garden city, and a community that fought, with signs and protests, to keep the heart of their mill beating. Each scene is enriched with soundscapes composed and created by Hugo Bouthillette.
