Marie-Pier has been Director of the Musée de la gare for over ten years now. In addition to her background in visual and media arts, she can also draw on her passion for museology. The latter has developed over the course of her current tenure at the helm of the museum, and continues to grow. At the time of the closure of the local newspaper, le Contact, the director set herself the task of preserving the memory of this institution by conceiving, for the first time, a temporary exhibition.

Marie-Pier sits on the board of the Réseau muséal d'Abitibi-Témiscamingue (RMAT) as vice-president, and also holds the position of vice-president on the board of the Conseil de la culture de l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue (CCAT).

In 2023, she was awarded the Prix Complice at CCAT's 23rd Awards of Excellence in Arts and Culture in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

Coco joins the Musée de la gare team again this summer. During the rest of the year, they study at the Université de Montréal, where they take an interest in videogame studies and Asian studies. What's more, the student has a keen appreciation of art and culture. Coco also happens to be an artist !

This summer, Aurélie joins the Musée de la gare team for the first time. During the school year, she continues her high school education and maintains an active lifestyle. She's part of a cadet volleyball team, and this year her team was league champion!

Elliot is a bright young man with interests in a variety of subjects including music, video games, art and science. His creative side is also very present: he paints his clothes and has participated in the Next Generation Exhibition at Nipissing University.

Once again, the computer science student is devoting his summer to the Musée de la gare, where his autonomy and versatility are greatly appreciated by the whole team. After all, his computer expertise and knowledge of the Garden City are very useful!

With his love of the region and his passion for art, Yann certainly has a place at the Musée de la gare! What's more, he's eager to pass on his passion for art through the workshops he'll be organizing this summer.
