Written and performed by Frédérik Fournier (Ma Noranda, Boomtown, Cor à contes), the podcast taken from the show Cœur à bois is a tribute to the people of Témiscaming. The stories are inspired by real life stories told to the author by local people. Reality meets fantasy in stories revealing an albino moose, flower sisters saving the garden city and a tightly woven community.
The play is accompanied by music and sensitive soundscapes by Hugo Bouthillette and the voice of Témiscaminoise actress Mélissa Rockburn.
Filled with love, lightness, poetry and imagination, this podcast is for the whole family.
Presented in collaboration with the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec and the entente culturelle de la MRC du Témiscamingue.
Mr. Pagé's mission is to bring back a doctor for the imminent delivery of a woman from Temiscaming. Accompanied by his dog Ponpon, he sets out on an expedition in the middle of the night, walking along the railroad track between Témiscaming and Matawa. He encounters a mystical animal that will leave a lasting impression on him.
Hélène Denault and Jeannine Plouffe are united by their passion for flowers. Témiscaming is organizing a big contest that will reward the most beautiful flowerbed in town. A natural disaster will disrupt the lives of the people of Témiscaming, and the two women, who are witches, will join forces to save their protégées. They will also meet their soul sister.
The families living in Petit Canada join forces to find little Paul Morin, who has been missing since a game of hide-and-seek deep in the woods. They will search every corner of the township to try to find the last member of the family. They can count on the help of the fireflies, who have been watching over the community for years.
This year, we are pleased to offer you a completely free membership. This initiative aims to strengthen our community, ensure the sustainability of our cultural activities, and bring together as many people as possible around our museum.
